Movie Previews

Ok. Who has heard of Wicker Park? Well, here is a preview for that movie. It looks like a good, weird movie, right? Wrong. It's a love story. Granted, it was still a good movie with a little bit of mystery, but I would have rented it instead of buying it if I had known it wasn't the movie I had seen the preview for.

The thing that reminded me of it was this preview for Scary Mary. It's clips of Mary Poppins, but it looks like a horror movie.

Pictures of Scooter

Here's a picture of me and Scooter when he was a puppy. Wasn't he so cute back then???

Scooter and Shaggy (the cat) would ALWAYS play together, and Shaggy would kick Scooter's butt! (Now Scooter tries to kick Shaggy's butt)

They did get along sometimes though.

Here's Scooter bringing in the year 2000. That balloon is almost as big as him!

Here he is all grown up.

Here's a picture of me with Scooter

And here's another one.

23 December 2006

So I went shopping today, and finished my Christmas shopping!! Now I've gotta go wrap all those presents...

I also went to another Mallards game tonight. The Fort Wayne Komets beat the Mallards tonight. It wasn't really the Mallards fault. The Mallards actually had 42 shots on goal tonight, which was pretty good. It's all Kevin St. Pierre's fault. That guy is just too fucking good! He's huge and he takes up the whole net, but his size is nothing compared to his skills. He is ALWAYS all over that puck.

**Edit: I just looked through the boxscore for tonight's Mallards game and I thought the 3 stars of the game were very interesting:
1ST STAR: St. Pierre, Kevin (FW)
2ND STAR: Player, New ()
3RD STAR: Chwedoruk, Justin (QC)

My first prediction

So my sister always makes predictions about the Mallards games, and tonight was no different. (By the way, the Mallards were playing the Flint Generals, NOT the Chicago Hounds) So on the way to tonight's game, I decided to make a prediction of my own. You see, I knit hats so I have something to throw on the ice if there is a hat trick, and I always make sure I have a back-up hat because there are a lot of back-to-back weekend games, and I can't knit a hat in one day (trust me, I've tried before). So Wednesday there was a KICK ASS game, and of course there was a hat trick, so I got to throw my hat onto the ice. Well my prediction was that there would be a hat trick tonight, and I wouldn't have a hat for tomorrow night if there's a hat trick then too. So in the 3rd period, Chad Woollard got his second goal of the night. I was thinking "Wow! My prediction might actually be right!!!" Then Luke Stauffacher got a goal. Then, one minute and one second later, Stauffacher got another goal. Then, one minute and 27 seconds after that, Luke Stauffacher got his HAT TRICK!!!! So, basically, my prediction was right. Now I need to get knitting.

Oh yeah, and my sister posted the CUTEST video on youtube. It's Sean Starke and the Mallards goalie Jason Tapp doing their little celebration thing after the game.

Last night’s Mallards game

So I had an idea of what I wanted to type about last night’s Mallards game, but then I got home and I’m always tired after the games (plus I had gone over to my sister’s house to watch a movie because it was my birthday) so I went to bed and now I don’t have the passion to blog about the game. My sister, Shorty, usually has a write-up about the mallards games, and anything else that happens, so go check out her blog. It was an awesome game.

AGAIN?!?!?

So, I decided to finally stop being lazy and blog about this past weekend's Mallards games. Saturday, the Mallards played against Bloomington Prairie Thunder. I was kind of looking forward to talking crap to Jason Lawmaster, but he was suspended, so Rachel and I didn't even get to wear our Lawmaster/Bates shirts.

By the way, I wanted to say GREAT job to the Mallards (even though they'll never read this) for winning 3 straight games and being unbeaten for 4!!!

Sunday, the Mallards played against the Elmira Jackals. I felt really, really bad saying "You suck" to Frank Littlejohn, because I loved him playing with the Mallards, but, man, it sucks to play against that guy. He actually broke the glass behind the visitor team's bench after the 1st period of that game (not because of me). During the 1st period, I said "You suck" (like I always do) to Tommy Kotsopoulos, and, you guessed it, he spit on me!
I mean, if he played WITH Chaz Johnson (the last guy who spit on me) I can kind of see that he would also spit on me. But as far as I know, they don't even talk! I mean, I've been saying "You suck" to players for over a year now, and last season NOBODY spit on me, and this season I've had 2 different guys, on 2 different teams both spit on me in within the first 9 home games.

Scooter pulled a Mom

So, in case anyone doesn't know... When Lexi was younger, we had a gate up in the doorway between the hallway and the kitchen. One day, we moved it to the opposite doorway (between the hallway and the living room). Mom was busy reading the manual or something and she was heading into the kitchen. Well, she must've forgotten that we had moved the gate, so she stepped over the gate...that wasn't there. I called her name, she looked back at me and it took her a minute before she realized what she had done.

Today, I let the dogs, Scooter and Crystal, out to play in the snow. It was really bright outside from the sun shining on the snow. We went back into the house and our house is already really dark, so I couldn't see a thing. Apparently, Scooter couldn't either. Earlier I'd had the gate up between the couch and the wall to keep the dogs in the living room, but I took it down when I let the dogs out. When Scooter got to where the gate was, he jumped on the couch to get around the gate...that wasn't there.
