So I was watching Heroes the other day with my Mom, and they show this bus driver near the end of the episode, and I say to my Mom "That's Stan Lee." So she replies "Stanley who?"

Crazy Ice Storm

I actually wanted to blog the past couple of days, and I couldn't! Our internet has been out for the last day and a half. Here are some pictures from the ice storm. (There are a lot of pictures of trees, but that's because there were a lot of trees to take pictures of)

The grass was completely covered in ice.

Here's the tree across the street from my house. It fell over near the start of the storm. (I still don't know how I didn't hear it)

Here's a close up of what were the roots of the tree. They are completely broken off.

Here's the branch that shattered in my back yard.

This is the top of one of our pine trees (that are 1 1/2 times the size of my house, and right next to the house).

Here's my poor car. By the time we took this picture, the ice had stopped, and it was snowing, so you can't tell that there's a sheet of ice under the snow.

Here's our street the next day. It's completely full of slush.

A Pookie moment

So, Shorty and Pookie came over today so Shorty could braid my hair. Pookie fell asleep while she was braiding. Scooter started to go after the cat, so I yelled "Get your ass over here!" Pookie said something in her sleep so I asked her what she said, so she repeated "I guess I'm gonna get in trouble for cussing." lol. I guess she thought she had yelled at the dog.

I got my hair cut today

I wanted to donate my hair to Locks of Love so I waited until it grew out long enough to chop it all off.

This is how I had my hair for the super bowl...yes, those are clothes pins in my hair.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

I spent my Valentine's Day at a hockey game. But the Mallards won, so I guess it's not quite as pathetic as it could have been.

Mallards Jersey Auction

So it turns out the Mallards jersey auction is going to be April 1. The UHL is doing a Battle of the Bands thing for VH1, and they'll be wearing special jerseys which will be auctioned off afterwards. We have to wait til the last home game of the season, but at least we know when it is.
