We had an intruder in the house today. But don't worry. Buddy (my cat) saved us. He tore the intruder to pieces. Here's a picture of all that was left.

April 27-Spaghetti Pie

So, my mom and I made some spaghetti pie yesterday. It's from Light & Tasty magazine. Anyway, here's the recipe.

1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 cup canned diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried oregano
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon pepper
6 ounces spaghetti, cooked and drained
1 tablespoon butter, melted
2 egg whites, lightly beaten
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup (8 ounces) fat-free cottage cheese
1/2 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

In a nonstick skillet, cook the beef, onion and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, salt, garlic powder, sugar and pepper; set aside.
In a large bowl, combine spaghetti, butter, egg whites and Parmesan cheese. Press onto the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch deep-dish pie plate coated with nonstick cooking spray. Top with cottage cheese and ground beef mixture.
Bake, uncovered at 350º for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake 5-10 minutes longer or until cheese is melted and filling is heated through.

If you divide it into 6 slices, then one slice equals 348 calories.

April 18-Earthquake in Iowa????

So my mom wakes me up today and asks me if I'm ok. I thought that was weird, so I asked her why? She said she woke up like 4:30 a.m. and her bed was shaking. I asked "Were you dreaming?"

Well, it turns out there was an earthquake. It was actually in Illinois, but the aftershocks were felt in Iowa. And apparently I'm the ONLY ONE who didn't feel it.

April 13-I'm almost completely forgettable

Deanna: I'm a very forgettable person. People forget me all the time!

Rachel: Well, M remembered you.

Deanna: Ok...Sometimes people remember my boobs.

April 11-It's over already?

I just got home from the last hockey game of the Quad City Flames Inaugural season. I can't believe it's over. Just like that.

It was a close game all night!! There were some good fights. I'm sure my sis will post some videos of them. And the score was REALLY close! But, alas, (I've ALWAYS wanted to use that word) we lost. In overtime.

Oh yeah, and my ARCH-ENEMY was in the duck blind!!! Yes, I have an arch-enemy. Doesn't everybody?

Ok, this post is like all over the place, but I have a whole lot more I want to say, I just can't think of how to word anything. Don't you hate it when that happens?

April 10-Don't believe drunken me

Ummm...Don't believe drunken me. Apparently it's not truth syrum, like it is for some people. There is no post to yours, Shorty. I'm sorry. My excuse for lying is that I was drunk. lol

April 9-I'm drunk

Once i'm sober, i wont' admit it. I know i wont. so i'm telling youa ll now. I'md runk. lol. i can see how bad this sentence is, but i don't care. You odn't kanow how much i used the bakcapsce button already, but i'm not gonna fix this. omg, rachel, you totally should've stayde for the rest of the game!!!!!!!!!!!!! i had 8 1/2 of the $2 drafts. I had the burps all night. I'll have quite a few drunken quotes to post. AND I SA3W LUKE STAUFFACHER TONGIHT!!! i'll have top aost some pics from the lats jersey acution when i post the pic of him from tania's phone. I'm gonna stop there before i TOTALLY embarrass my self. as if i haven't already.

April 6-Somebody lied to me

April 5-My Wish Came True!!!!!

So, I just got home from the Quad City Flames game. The last two home games were nothing I wanted to blog about. The opposing teams got shutouts against us. I told everybody tonight that I wasn't even hoping for a win. I didn't care if they won or lost. All I wanted was for our team to score ONE goal. AND THEY DID!!! lol

Oh yeah, and we got to the third period winning the game 1 to 0. And then the Iowa Stars scored. Rachel was saying that she jinxed the team, and it was going to go into a shootout. So I said that Iowa is gonna score another goal and we're gonna lose in regulation. I mean, no offense guys, but that's just how the home games have gone lately. Rachel asked how much I was gonna bet on it. I had just decided $1, and the Flames scored!!! So I lost the bet but the Flames won the game. I was SO glad they proved me wrong. :o)

April 3-Red Wings Illusion Scarf: Finished!!

So I finally finished that scarf I was making for Rachel. Here's some pics of Rachel with it.

And here's the pattern I used for it. Somebody who doesn't know how to do illusion knitting probably won't get this, but I'm posting it anyway. I mean, you never know when somebody will stumble across it and want the pattern. I mean, I looked FOREVER to try to find somebody who had already made the pattern for this before I finally designed it myself. Anyway, here's the pic:
